Clothes Dryer Abstract Disclosed is a clothes dryer of the dehumidifying type in which exhaust air from a drying space containing a load being dried is subjected to heat exchange with external air for removing moisture therefrom and, after being re-heated by a heater, supplied into the drying space again by a fan so as to dry the load with heated air. The clothes dryer comprises first heat-sensitive means for measuring the temperature of exhaust air at an outlet of the drying space, and second heat-sensitive means for measuring the temperature of the exhaust air after having been subjected to the heat exchange with external air or the temperature of the external air after having been subjected to the heat exchange with the exhaust air. The difference between the temperatures measured by the first and second heat-sensitive means at a predetermined time after the starting of the drying operation is stored in a memory as a reference value A , and the later relation between the measured temperature difference and the reference value A , is checked to control the termination of the heat drying operation.
