A B S T R A C T A clothes-horse, consisting of a standard having at its top at least three seperate side-arms at mutually substantially equal angles, between which clothes-lines are stretched, wherein the base of the standard is fastened in a socket open at its top and consists of a telescopic part of smaller height than the socket, whilst the standard furthermore consists of a plurality of telescopic parts, the uppermost of which carries a lid-like member being larger than the opening of the socket and being in bearing connection with the extremities of the side-arms, which consist of the substantially identical, mutually hinged parts, the inner part of which is hingedly connected substantially in the middle to an similiary arm having a length substantially equal to half of the length of the parts of the side-arms, the said auxiliary same at their other ends being hingedly connected to the second uppermost telescopic part of the standard over the inner ends of the side-arms, said inner ends being together slideable over the standard.
