A co-generation grain dryer is herein described. The grain dryer comprises a grain bin having a bin aeration system and an internal combustion engine coupled to an electric generator. The internal combustion engine produces hot exhaust gases and hot liquid coolant when in operation and the internal combustion engine includes a liquid to air heat exchanger and an air to air heat exchanger. The internal combustion engine also provides mechanical power for driving a fan and a blower. Specifically, the fan is arranged to blow ambient air through the liquid to air heat exchanger, thereby heating the ambient air and the blower receives the heated air from the fan and forces the air past the air to air heat exchanger, thereby further heating the air. The blower is also arranged to force the heated air into the bin aeration system so that the heated air dries the grain in the grain bin.
