CO-PRODUCTION OF AROMATICS AND OLEFINS FROM PARAFFINIC FEEDSTOCKS ABSTRACT There is provided a process for converting a C5-C10 paraffinic feedstock into other hydrocarbons including C6-C8 aromatics, C2-C4 olefins, C9+ aromatics and C1-C3 paraffins. By using a catalyst comprising (1) a binder and (2) ZSM-5 or ZSM-11, said catalyst having low acid catalytic activity as measured by an alpha value of 25 or less, the selectivity to the more desired C6-C8 aromatics and C2-C4 olefins is increased. The low alpha value of the catalyst may be achieved by deactivating the catalyst under conditions comprising steaming, high temperature calcining and/or coking.
