COAL AGGLOMERATION BY NONINTENSIVE MIXING WITH HYDROCARBONS ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A process is described for producing agglomer- ated coal from coal fines. According to the process, an aqueous slurry of coal fines is mixed with oil without intensive agitation. This causes selective agglomeration of the coal in the oil phase, leaving gangue materials in aqueous suspension.
