A B S T R A C T A dispersion is disclosed containing water, pulverized coal and additives including at least one polymer, the coal content ranging from 60 to 85% by weight, characterized in that the dispersion as an additive contains lecithin or an alkylbetain which is adsorbed to the surfaces of the coal particles and which provides repulsion between the coal particles by hydration forces, said polymer co-operating with the lecithin or alkylbetain, respectively and containing segments of hydrophobic as well as hydrophilic character.
