A fireman's coat (12) and drag harness (10) therefore are provided. The drag harness includes first and second work portions received within the coat adjacent the corresponding arm portions (24 and 26) thereof. The loop portions (106 and 108) extend about corresponding arms of the wearer of the coat. A drag loop (112) is operatively connected to the first and second loop portions. The drag loop extends through an opening in the torso portion (58) of the coat so as to allow a potential rescuer to grasp the drag loop in order to drag an incapacitated person to safety.
