ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention concerns articles, such as automobile parts, having a coating bonded to a substrate by means of an intervening bond- promoting primer. The primer comprises a selectively hydrogenated block copolymer having terminal polymer blocks of a monoalkenyl or monoalkenylidene aromatic hydrocarbon and hydrogenated intermediate polymer blocks of a conjugated diene, a resin (coumarone-indene) compatible with the terminal polymer blocks and, optionally, a carboxylated resin (maleninized rosin) and optionally oil.
