The invention relates to coated metal peroxides, to their production and to their use. According to the invention, the metal peroxides are coated with silicon compounds selected from the group comprised of siliconate, hydrogen polysiloxane, siloxane, a silicon resin emulsion, a silane/siloxane emulsion, a silane/siloxane mixture, a silicon microemulsion concentrate, and of a silicic acid ester mixture.
