ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention relates to the heat welding of poly- olefinic film, particularly polypropylene, in the production of packaging. Polyolefinic films are difficult to hear weld since they tend to stick to the heated welding bars. This problem is mitigated by coating the polyolefinic film with a two-layer coating, the first layer comprising an amine compound and the second layer comprising a three-component mixture of 10-30% by wt. of an epoxy resin, 30-70% by wt. of an acrylic or methacrylic polymer or copolymer, and 10-40% by wt. of nitrocellulose.
