Described is a spherical coated capsule comprising (a) a coating-free capsule having (i) a liquid or viscous core and (ii) a seamless solid shell surrounding this core, and (b) a seamless, solid coating surrounding said coating-free capsule, wherein - the diameter of the coated capsule is in the range of 5 - 9 mm, - the solid coating comprises at least one sugar or sugar- alcohol in an amount from about 30 - 90% (m/m), based on the total mass of the coated capsule, - the diameter of the coating-free capsule is in the range of 3 - 7 mm, the thickness of the shell of said coating-free capsule is in the range of 20 - 200 ~m, - the ratio of shell thickness to diameter of said coating-free capsule is in the range of 0.004 - 0.04 , - the shell of said coating-free capsule contains 70 - 90 % (m/m) gelatine or alginate and 10 - 30 % (m/m) plasticiser, based on the solids content of said shell, and - the core has a flavouring content in the range of 1 - 100 % (m/m), based on the total mass of the core. Further described is a method for preparing such capsule.

L'invention concerne une capsule revêtue, sphérique, comprenant : (a) une capsule sans revêtement présentant (i) un noyau liquide ou visqueux et (ii) une enveloppe solide sans soudure entourant ledit noyau, et (b) un revêtement solide, sans soudure, entourant ladite capsule non revêtue, le diamètre de la capsule revêtue étant compris entre 5 et 9 mm, le revêtement solide comprenant au moins un sucre ou un alcool de sucre en une quantité comprise entre environ 30 et 90% (m/m), sur la base de la masse totale de la capsule revêtue, le diamètre de la capsule non revêtue étant compris entre 3 et 7 mm, l'épaisseur de l'enveloppe de ladite capsule non revêtue étant comprise entre 20 et 200 ñm, le rapport de l'épaisseur de l'enveloppe sur le diamètre de ladite capsule non revêtue étant compris entre 0,004 et 0,04, l'enveloppe de ladite capsule non revêtue contenant entre 70 et 90 % (m/m) de gélatine ou d'alginate et entre 10 et 30 % (m/m) de plastifiant, sur la base de la teneur en solides de ladite enveloppe, le noyau présentant une teneur en aromatisant comprise entre 1 et 100 % (m/m), sur la base du poids total du noyau. L'invention concerne également un procédé de préparation de ladite capsule.
