Drying a coated substrate (16) which includes magnetic particles includes a condensing surface (22) spaced from the substrate (16). This creates a longitudinal gap (h1) between the substrate (16) and the condensing surface (22). Liquid (18) is evaporated from the substrate (16) to create a vapor and the vapor is transported to the condensing surface (22) without requiring applied convection. The vapor is condensed on the condensing surface to create a condensate which is removed from the condensing surface (22). Removal is performed, using more than gravity, without allowing non-uniformities of the condensate film to occur. The magnetic particles are oriented on the coated substrate (16) by subjecting the coated substrate (16) to a magnetic filed created at a location outside of the dryer space.
Pour le séchage d'un substrat enduit (16), qui inclut des particules magnétiques, on fait intervenir une surface de condensation (22) espacée du substrat (16). On crée ainsi entre le substrat (16) et la surface de condensation (22) un intervalle longitudinal (h¿1?). Du liquide (18) s'évaporant du substrat (16) produit une vapeur qui est transportée sur la surface de condensation (22) sans qu'il soit nécessaire de créer une convection. La vapeur se condensant sur la surface de condensation produit un condensat qui s'élimine de la surface de condensation (22). L'enlèvement du condensat se fait en utilisant plus que la gravité, sans laisser se produire des manques d'uniformité du film de condensat. Pour l'orientation des particules magnétiques sur le substrat enduit (16) on soumet le substrat enduit (16) à un champ magnétique créé en un endroit extérieur au volume de séchage.
