A tool (10) which includes a substrate (20) which has a first surface and a second surface wherein the first (22) surface and the second surface (24) intersect to form an edge (26). An adhesion coating scheme is on the substrate. The adhesion coating scheme comprises an innermost layer (30) which contains titanium, and is on the surface of the substrate. The adhesion coating scheme includes an outermost adhesion layer (34). A wear coating scheme is on the adhesion coating scheme. The wear coating scheme includes one or more wear coating sequences wherein each wear coating sequence comprises an inner layer (36) including aluminum and nitrogen and an outer layer (38) including boron and nitrogen.
Cette invention concerne un outil (10) comportant un substrat (20) avec une première (22) et une seconde (24) surfaces, ces deux surfaces se coupant pour former un bord (26). Le substrat est recouvert d'un agencement de couches d'adhérence. Cet ensemble comprend une couche profonde (30) contenant du titane à même la surface du substrat. L'agencement comporte également une couche d'adhérence extérieure (34). Un agencement de couches d'usure recouvre l'ensemble de couches d'adhésion.
