The rotating drum 2 rotates around an axial line A that is inclined to the horizontal at a preset angle .theta.. Process gas flows into the rotating drum 2 from an air vent 7a of an air duct 7 through an air inlet 5 at one end of the rotating drum 2, passes through a layer of granules 11, and flows out into an air outlet duct 8 through an air vent 21a of a first disc plate 21 and a connection hole 22a in a second disc plate 22.

Un gaz de traitement s'écoule de l'orifice de ventilation (7a) d'un conduit de ventilation (7) vers l'intérieur du tambour rotatif (2) à travers un orifice d'alimentation en gaz (5) au niveau d'une extrémité du tambour rotatif (2) et traverse une couche de particules (11) s'écoulant ainsi vers un conduit d'échappement (8) à travers l'orifice de ventilation (21a) d'une première plaque de type disque (21) et l'orifice de communication (22a) d'une seconde plaque de type disque (22).
