The present invention relates to a coating composition for coating various substrates, particularly automotive bodies. A crosslinkable component of the composition includes an acid functional acrylic copolymer polymerized from a monomer mixture comprising 2 percent to 12 percent of one or more carboxylic acid group containing monomers, percentages based on total weight of the acid functional acrylic copolymer, and 0.2 percent to 2 percent of amorphous silica, percentages based on total weight of the crosslinkable component. The crosslinking component can includes polyisocyanates, melamines, or a combination thereof.
La présente invention concerne une composition de revêtement destinée à déposer un revêtement sur divers substrats et notamment sur les carrosseries d'autos. Un composant réticulable de la composition comprend un copolymère acrylique fonctionnel acide polymérisé à partir d'un mélange de monomères contenant 2 à 12 % d'un ou de plusieurs monomères contenant un groupe acide, le pourcentage étant basé sur le poids total du copolymère acrylique fonctionnel acide, et 0,2 à 2 % de silice amorphe, le pourcentage étant basé sur le poids total du composant réticulable. Le composant réticulable peut comprendre des polyisocyanates, des mélamines ou une combinaison de ceux-ci.
