The present invention relates to a composition for coating an optical fiber (10) that comprises a core fiber (12), a cladding (14), a inner primary coating (16), and an outer primary coating (18). Wherein the composition of the present invention contains an oligomer capable of being polymerized, a monomer suitable to control viscosity of the composition, and an adhesion promoter which includes a compound containing a cyclic structure interposed between at least two reactive silanes which are independently an alkoxysilane or a halosilane. Another composition of the present invention includes an oligomer capable of being polymerized, a monomer suitable to control viscosity of the composition, an adhesion promoter which includes a compound containing a reactive silane group, and a carrier. The present invention also relates to optical fibers and methods of making optical fibers using the composition of the present invention.
L'invention concerne une composition servant à revêtir une fibre optique (10) composée d'une fibre centrale (12), d'un blindage (14), d'un premier revêtement intérieur (16) et d'un premier revêtement extérieur (18). Cette composition contient un oligomère pouvant être polymérisé, un monomère capable de réguler la viscosité de la composition et un promoteur d'adhérence comprenant un composé contenant une structure cyclique intercalée entre au moins deux silanes réactifs qui sont indépendamment un alkoxysilane ou un halosilane. Elle concerne également une autre composition comprenant un oligomère pouvant être polymérisé, un monomère capable de réguler la viscosité de la composition, un promoteur d'adhérence comprenant un composé contenant un groupe silane réactif, ainsi qu'un véhicule. Elle concerne, de plus, des fibres optiques et des procédés de fabrication de ces fibres optiques au moyen desdites compositions.
