COATING COMPOSITIONS ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The anti-corrosive properties of primer compo- sitions comprising zinc phosphate have been discovered to be improved by the addition of magnesium phosphate. Since magnesium phosphate is a known anti-corrosive agent these two compounds have been discovered to be synergistic in their action. Improved properties are manifested at all pigment volume concentrations (PVC's). Compositions having a PVC in the range 25 - 45% are preferred. Preferably the zinc phosphate will constitute from 20 - 98% by weight of the active pigment ingredients.
