ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A paint composition which can be cleaned from an applicator in the presence of water which comprises (a) a solution of a water-insoluble film-forming binder in a water-immiscible diluent, (b) an acidic pigment having a zero zeta potential at a pH of less than 3.5 as herein defined and (c) a type of surfactant which is capable of forming a stable emulsion of (a) in water.
