ABSTRACT Novel thermosetting coating compositions which comprise a blend of (1) a derivative of an autoxidisable maleinised monocarboxylic fatty acid comprising a mono-ester of a diol and a mono-ester of an alkylene oxide, and (2) a cross-linking agent for the said derivative in the weight ratio of from 70:30 to 95:5 of (1) to (2). Such coating compositions have high solids contents at normal application viscosities.
