-1- ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention provides coating compositions comprising: 100 parts by weight of a mixture (A) composed of 50 to 98% by weight of at least one type of multifunctional monomer selected from a group of compounds having 3 or more acryl- oyloxy groups and/or methacryloyloxy groups per molecule and 20 to 50% by weight of a bi-functional oligomer represented by the following general formula Image wherein R1 represents hydrogen or a methyl group, and n is an integer of 1 to 5; 0.01 to 10% by weight of a light sensitizer; and 10 to 2000 ppm of a polymerization inhibitor. The composition is capable of forming a bridge hardened film of good abrasion resistance, etc. when irradiated with suitable radiation. Resin moldings having a coating of the polymerized composition are protected against scratches and abrasion that their soft surfaces would otherwise encounter.
