A method of making a coating composition includes salting a basic hindered amine light stabilizer with an acidic material and incorporating the salted hindered amine light stabilizer into a coating composition. The coating compositions thus obtained have good curing properties.

L'invention concerne un procédé pour produire une composition de revêtement consistant : à transformer un photostabilisant basique à amines encombrées en un sel au moyen d'une matière acide, et; à incorporer le sel du photostabilisant à amines encombrées ainsi obtenu dans une composition de revêtement. Les compositions de revêtement produites au moyen de ce procédé présentent de bonnes propriétés de cuisson.
