An aqueous composition contains an olefinic polymer having an olefin portion that is substantially saturated and anionic functionality imparting water dispersibility. The olefinic polymer can be prepared by reacting a saturated or substantially saturated olefin polymer with a reactant that provides the water-dispersing functionality. The composition can be an adhesion promoter that provides excellent adhesion of subsequent coating layers to olefinic substrates like TPO or an additive in a different coating composition, which may be a curable coating composition, especially a primer composition, to provide excellent adhesion to olefinic substrates like TPO.
L'invention concerne une composition aqueuse contenant un polymère oléfinique présentant une partie d'oléfine sensiblement saturée, et une fonctionnalité anionique imprimant une dispersibilité dans l'eau. Le polymère oléfinique peut être préparé en faisant réagir un polymère d'oléfine saturé ou sensiblement saturé avec un réactif qui fournit la fonctionnalité de dispersion dans l'eau. La composition peut être un promoteur d'adhérence qui fournit une excellente adhérence de couches de revêtement consécutives à des substrats oléfiniques comme TPO ou un additif dans une composition de revêtement différente qui peut être une composition de revêtement durcissable, en particulier une composition d'apprêt, pour fournir une adhérence excellente à des substrats oléfiniques comme TPO.
