ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Glass fibres intended for use as reinforcement in cementitious products is disclosed are coated with a composition which contains at least one monocyclic or polycyclic aromatic com- pound having at least three hydroxyl groups on the aromatic ring or (in a polycyclic compound) on at least one of the aromatic rings, together with at least one partially-cured, water-dilutable A- stage phenol-formaldehyde resole resin.
