A method of producing a printed substrate so as to improve the adhesion, colorfastness and washfastness of either reactive or acid dye-based ink jet inks printed onto the substrate, the method includes the steps of providing a substrate, treating the substrate with an aqueous coating formulation comprising a cationic polymer or copolymer, a fabric softener, treating the substrate of step with an imbibing aqueous solution of either urea, and an ingredient selected from sodium bicarbonate, sodium carbonate or combinations thereof, or ammonium sulfate, drying the substrate, printing on the substrate with either an acid or reactive dye-based ink, depending on the coating and post treating the printed substrate.
L'invention concerne un procédé de production d'un substrat imprimé permettant d'améliorer l'adhérence, la solidité de la couleur et la solidité au lavage d'encres de jet d'encre à base de réactif ou de colorant acide imprimées sur un substrat. Le procédé consiste à prendre un substrat, à le traiter avec une formulation aqueuse de revêtement renfermant un polymère ou un copolymère cationique et un adoucissant, à le traiter avec une solution aqueuse d'imbibation à base d'urée et d'un ingrédient choisi parmi le bicarbonate de sodium, le carbonate de sodium, ou une combinaison des deux, ou le sulfate d'ammonium, à sécher le substrat, à faire une impression sur le substrat avec une encre à base de réactif ou de colorant acide, selon le revêtement, et à effectuer un traitement ultérieur sur le substrat imprimé.
