A method for coating a particulate material for pharmaceutical, cosmeceutical, nutriceutical or cosmetic use or for use in food or food stuff, the coating being performed in a coating equipment, which comprises a coating chamber having i) means for supply of a coating composition, and ii) means for supply of inlet air to provide a flow of inlet air, the method comprises (i) loading uncoated or pre-coated particulate material into the coating chamber, (ii) providing a flow of inlet air that has been adjusted so that the humidity of the air in the coating chamber ensures that unwanted agglomeration of the particulate material and/or adherence to the coating equipment are substantially reduced or avoided during the coating process, and (iii) spraying on the particulate material a coating composition comprising a solvent that contains at least about 70% v/v of one or more organic solvents and at the most about 30% v/v of an aqueous medium, to obtain coated particulate material containing at the most about 20% w/w agglomerates. The method is especially suitable in order to enable coating by means of an organic solvent based coating composition and avoids generally observed problems with respect to static electricity, adherence and formation of agglomerates.
L'invention concerne un procédé d'enrobage d'une matière particulaire à usage pharmaceutique, cosméceutique, nutraceutique ou cosmétique, ou utilisée dans des aliments ou des produits alimentaires, l'enrobage étant effectué dans un dispositif d'enrobage comprenant une chambre d'enrobage avec i) des moyens d'alimentation d'une composition d'enrobage, et ii) des moyens d'alimentation d'air d'entrée destinés à fournir un flux d'air d'entrée. Le procédé consiste (i) à charger la matière particulaire non enrobée ou pré-enrobée dans la chambre d'enrobage, (ii) à fournir un flux d'air d'entrée ajusté de manière que l'humidité de l'air de la chambre d'enrobage réduise sensiblement ou évite l'agglomération non désirée de la matière particulaire et/ou l'adhérence non désirée de celle-ci au dispositif d'enrobage au cours du processus d'enrobage, et (iii) à pulvériser sur la matière particulaire une composition d'enrobage comprenant un solvant contenant au moins environ 70 % v/v d'un ou de plusieurs solvants organiques et tout au plus environ 30 % v/v d'un milieu aqueux, afin d'obtenir une matière particulaire enrobée contenant tout au plus environ 20 % w/w d'agglomérats. Ce procédé est particulièrement approprié dans l'enrobage à l'aide d'une composition contenant un solvant organique et permet d'éviter les problèmes que l'on observe en général, à savoir l'électricité statique, l'adhérence et la formation d'agglomérats.
