The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing a superconducting length of wire, comprising at least insertion of a superconducting base material into a tube of metal, packing or coiling of the metallic tube in such a manner that a first part of the outer surface of the tube contacts a second part of the surface of the tube, heating of the tube filled with the superconducting base material to a temperature close to the melting temperature of the metal tube so as to form the superconducting phase in the base material. In the method, the tube of metal, before being packed or coiled, is provided with a coating on at least the first and second parts of the outer surface of the tube, said coating comprising a material having a melting temperature which is higher than the melting temperature of the metallic tube.
L'invention concerne un procédé servant à fabriquer une longueur de fil supraconducteur et consistant à insérer un matériau de base supraconducteur dans un tube de métal, à conditionner ou à enrouler le tube métallique de telle sorte qu'une première partie de la surface extérieure du tube vienne en contact avec une deuxième partie de la surface du tube, à réchauffer le tube rempli par le matériau de base supraconducteur à une température proche de la température de fusion du tube de métal, de manière à constituer la phase supraconductrice dans le matériau de base. D'après ce procédé, on recouvre le tube de métal, préalablement à son conditionnement ou à son enroulement, d'un revêtement sur au moins la première et la deuxième parties de la surface extérieure dudit tube, ledit revêtement étant composé d'un matériau dont la température de fusion est supérieure à la température de fusion du tube métallique.
