The invention relates to a coating powder and method for its production. Said powder can be used in many technical fields, especially in machine and vehicle construction in chemical and petro-chemical installations. This coating powder has a hardmetal microstructure and consists of two cubic hard material phases, which respectively constitute a core-rim structure of a hard material particle. The hard material phase in the core contains Ti and C and the hard material phase in the rim contains Ti, a second metal and C, and these are embedded in a binder phase containing one or more of the elements Ni, Co and Fe. According to the invention, said coating powder is characterized by the fact that at least one additional alloying element exists either in the hard material phase, in the binder phase or in both phases simultaneously. According to the invention, the coating powder is produced by mixing and homogenizing the individual hard materials and the metal powder in an aqueous suspension in a ball type mill, which are later on granulated, sintered and processed using a grinding technique.
L'invention concerne une poudre de revêtement et un procédé de production de ladite poudre. Cette poudre peut être employée dans de nombreux domaines techniques, notamment dans la construction mécanique, la construction automobile, ainsi que dans les installations chimiques et pétrochimiques. Cette poudre de revêtement présentant une microstructure semblable à celle des métaux durs est composée de deux phases de substances dures cubiques, constituant chacune une structure noyau-enveloppe d'une particule de substance dure. La phase de substance dure dans le noyau contient en majeure partie du titane et du carbone, et la phase de substance dure dans l'enveloppe comprend essentiellement du titane, un deuxième métal et du carbone. Ces phases sont incorporées dans une phase de liaison contenant au moins un des éléments suivants: nickel, cobalt et fer. Cette poudre est caractérisée en ce qu'au moins un autre élément d'alliage est présent soit dans les phases de substances dures, soit dans la phase de liaison, ou bien dans les deux à la fois. Cette poudre est fabriquée selon un procédé de l'invention consistant à mélanger et homogénéiser les substances dures individuelles et la poudre métallique dans une suspension aqueuse par broyage et mélange simultanés dans un broyeur à boulets, puis à les granuler, les fritter et les préparer selon une technique de broyage.
