ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Disclosed is a pulverulent coating composition useful for the melt-film coating method, which comprises: (1) a powdery polyamide coating base which is an aliphatic homo- or copolyamide with at least six carbon atoms per recurring carbonamide unit and contains reactive functional groups at least 80% of which consists of primary or secondary amino groups, and (2) 0.1 to 10% by weight based on the polyamide of a polyisocyanate compound whose iso- cyanate groups are capped with a lactam or acetoxime, wherein the said polyisocyanate compound is selected from the group consisting of isophoronediisocyanate monomer and dimers, trimers and higher oligomers thereof extended by a diol.
