ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A nylon powder composition having improved adhesion when applied as a coating film to a substrate by fusion coating processes, comprises a major weight proportion of a nylon, preferably type 11 or type 12 nylon, melt-mixed with minor amounts of a reactive epoxy resin and a polyvinyl acetal resin. Preferred polyvinyl acetal resins are polyvinyl butyral or polyvinyl formal, these additives being present in amount 1 to 10 parts by weight. No curing ageng for the epoxy resin is present in the formulation; the epoxy resin is selected from those having an epoxy equivalent weight of from about 200 to about 2,000. The melt-mixed formulation is preferably extruded and chopped to form pellets, and ~he pellets are cryogenically ground to appropriate mesh size for fluidized bed application.
