A coffee-making funnel with built-in valve system adapted to be rested on the top edge of a drinking mug and comprising a valve system for controlling the flow of infused liquid dripping from discharge apertures situated at the apex of the coffee-making funnel. When the drinking cup on which the coffee-making funnel is rested is full, the level of infused liquid inside the drinking mug reaches a float element of the valve system. As the level of infused liquid in the drinking mug increases, the float element is elevated and actions a stem to which it is linked, which stem is also linked to a set of arms connected to a disk valve. As the float element is elevated, the stem is elevated also, causing the set of arms to pivot thus causing the disk valve to lower to a closed position. This prevents more infused liquid to drip from the coffee-making funnel into the drinking mug.
