Apparatus for protecting the drive unit of waste water treatment equipment from being damaged in the event it should become submerged. The apparatus has a shell formed of air impermeable material enclosing the drive unit with means to prevent entry of water when the shell is submerged while permitting communication between the interior of the shell and ambient air when the shell is not submerged.

Cette invention concerne un dispositif servant à protéger l'entraînement d'un matériel de traitement d'eaux usées contre les dommages en cas d'immersion. Le dispositif comporte une coquille faite d'un matériau perméable à l'air et qui est équipée de moyens d'empêcher l'entrée d'eau à l'immersion tout en autorisant la communication de l'intérieur de la coquille avec l'air ambiant lorsque celle-ci n'est immergée.
