Coin-Operated Lock for a Trolley System, including Especially Shopping and Lugy~Le-Trolleys ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE There is provided a coin-operated lock for a luggage or shopping trolley, for example. The lock releases the trolley when a coin is inserted and repays the deposited amount upon return of the trolley. The lock has two lockable keyholes that accept separate keys, one of these keys being secured to the trolley. When a coin is inserted, one keyhole is released to accept the key secured to the trolley. The other key- hole secures a key belonging to another trolley or a coupling unit so -that the other keyhole, when the key anchored to the same trolley is inserted in the former keyhole, is released for release of the other key, the former keyhole being released for release of the key secured therein and anchored to the same trolley for repayment of the coin when the other key is inserted in the other keyhole.
