ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A shed-like structure, open at the bottom and at the ends covers the coke side equipment of a coke oven battery. A fume collecting main under the structure has a plurality of air scoops through which particle-laden air flows into the fume main. Conventional fans and the like to induce circulation of air within the structure are not necessary according to the present disclosure.
