When a cold spell (ice) is expected our machine fills the need to protect crops (eg. orange crops) from exposure to the cold. The first part of the machine has supports on (one or both sides), if both then, empty in the middle - enough leeway to bypass the top and sides of the trees, and the machine would follow the lines of the trees. Basically a machine that is high enough on both sides to reach the top of the trees to plants stakes/poles eg. slightly thicker than flag poles - with a sharp end on the bottom (a sharp metal cap or just a sharp wood (or plastic) the stakes would reach up to or above the top of the trees. Another option is to have stakes/poles shaped as steeples or domed (roundish plastic) on top maybe at intervals to provide extra support at the top. The smaller crops could have low but very wide horizontal reach, to cover many lines (such as multiple likes of lettuce or tomatoes) at one time/run through. On one end or both ends or opening somewhere in between or multiple openings, you could put a metal vent (maybe with a fan) to blow in hot air into this quick and easy green house. On one end or both ends or opening somewhere in between or multiple openings, you could put a metal vent (maybe with a fan) to blow in hot air into this quick and easy green house. Additionally, have perforated vents at the bottom and in the middle so the hot air being blown in circulates and passes through to the middle trees as well as pushes the cold air out. Another option is to pre bury the stakes/poles - semi-permanent, and when the cold weather comes then bring out the transparent (greenhouse) plastic. The skin material could be removed later with a removal machine and then next year a new skin material brought up again. The skin material could unwound in large rolls.
