Petix David Chin Herbert Kopperman and John Gubbe ABSTRACT This invention relates to a fumaric acid containing composition of enhanced solubility in cold water and to a method for manufacturing same. Fumaric acid crystals having a particle size between 10 and 40 microns are slurried with a malto dextrin wetting agent of low dextrose equivalence and containing at least 75% by weight of polysaccharides above trisaccharide, said slurry then being spray dried to form the final product which contains between 2.5 and 10% by weight of the malto-dextrin.
