The invention provides a method for tracking business to business communication among trading partners in a supply chain. Trading partners (115) utilize a central hub (120) to coordinate and track events. Prior to sending an event (111) to other trading partners, a trading partner (115) obtains an event tracking number (123) from a central hub.
