This invention is directed to a method for producing collagens from a collagen-producing cell in a cell culturing system. This invention is also directed to the collagens synthesized in vitro from the cell cultures. Collagen producing cells are cultured in the presence of an agent to inhibit or interfere with collagen crosslinking. The synthesized collagens are removed from the culture with a solution that maintains the viability of the cells in culture so that collagen synthesis and removal is repeated. The figure illustrates the repeated removal. The collagens produced by this method are useful for biomedical, biotechnology and cosmetic applications.

Procédé de production de collagènes à partir d'une cellule productrice de collagène dans un système de culture cellulaire. La présente invention concerne également les collagènes synthétisés in vitro dans les cultures cellulaires. Des cellules produisant du collagène sont cultivées en présence d'un agent destiné à inhiber la réticulation du collagène ou à interférer avec cette dernière. Les collagènes synthétisés sont prélevés de la culture à l'aide d'une solution qui maintient la viabilité des cellules en culture si bien que la synthèse du collagène et son prélèvement sont répétés. La figure montre le prélèvement répété. Les collagènes produits par ce procédé sont utiles pour des applications biomédicales, biotechnologiques et cosmétiques.
