A collapsible bench is provided that has a frame made up of a plurality of crossing pairs of support legs. Each pair of support legs is pivotally connected to each other and the plurality of support legs support a fabric seat. Positioned at regular intervals along the back of the collapsible bench are alternating adjacent back support legs and canopy support legs. A fabric seat back is attached and supported by the back support legs and canopy support legs. A canopy portion is attached to the canopy support legs to provide shelter to occupants of the collapsible bench. Canopy supports are pivotally attached at their ends to the canopy support legs. The collapsible bench can be collapsed by pivoting down the canopy portion and then rotating the crossing pairs of support legs so that each pair is substantially parallel.
