A collapsible carrier for transporting a bicycle on the rear or front bumper of a vehicle, which consists primarily of three soft, flexible straps with buckles holding the bicycle under tension at an angle away from the vehicle while the tires rest in the internal angle formed by the junction of the exterior wall of the trunk or hood and the top surface of the bumper. Two upper straps of the carrier are at a first end looped through themselves to the handle bar stem and to the seat post of the bicycle. The two upper straps are then crossed near their mid-point to form an X and at a second end looped to the upper corners of the trunk or hood lid. A third strap of the carrier is at a first end looped through itself to the seat post of the bicycle and at a second end vertically attached to the underside of the bumper of the vehicle by way of a hook. The straps are adjusted and tightened by way of locking adjustable buckles.
Un porte-bicyclette repliable conçu pour transporter une bicyclette sur le pare-chocs avant d'un véhicule est essentiellement constitué de trois sangles douces et souples munies de boucles servant à maintenir en place la bicyclette avec une certaine tension en formant un angle par rapport au véhicule et en laissant reposer les pneus dans l'angle rentrant que fait la jonction de la paroi extérieure du coffre ou du capot avec la surface supérieure du pare-chocs. Deux sangles supérieures de ce porte-bicyclette, à une première extrémité, saisissent dans une boucle la potence du guidon et la tige de selle de la bicyclette. Ces deux sangles supérieures se croisent alors près de leur milieu en formant un X et prennent dans une boucle les coins supérieurs du coffre ou du couvercle du capot. Une troisième sangle de ce porte-bicyclette, à une première extrémité, enlace dans une boucle la tige de selle de la bicyclette et une deuxième extrémité relie verticalement la face inférieure du pare-chocs du véhicule par un crochet. Ces sangles s'ajustent et se serrent grâce à des boucles de serrage réglables.
