Radial cutting blades (2a-2h) are connected by a hinge (6, 5a, 5b) about which they may be rotated between collapsed and extended positions. A rotary body (10) and rotary cap (11) form a handle (3) which holds the inner ends of the blades (2a-2h). The members (10, 11) are mounted for rotation about the hinge axis (4) relative to free blades (2b-2g). Circumferentially spaced stop faces (37a-37f) on the body (10) are spaced apart in the axial direction in a stepwise manner, with the stop-engaging faces (34) of adjacent free blades (2b-2g) being correspondingly spaced apart in the axial direction in a stepwise manner. Circumferentially spaced abutment faces (36a-36f) on the cap (11) are spaced apart in the radial direction in a stepwise manner. The abutment-engaging faces of adjacent free blades (2b-2g) are correspondingly spaced apart in the radial direction in a stepwise manner. To extend the blades (2a-2h), the cap (11) is rotated relative to the body (10), with the cap and body (11, 10) holding the portions of each free blade (2b-2g) between a respective stop face and abutment face for locating the free blades (2b-2g) in their extended positions.
