A warewashing machine (10) has a washing chamber (14) with an enlarged height to increase the chamber's capacity without increasing the warewashing machine's surface area and has collapsible doors (22, 30) to facilitate larger openings to the enlarged washing chamber (14). The larger openings and enlarged capacity allow the warewashing machine (10) to wash oversize wares. The collapsible doors (22, 30) allow the full access to the enlarged openings significantly increasing the minimum height of the ceiling over the warewashing machine (10). The warewashing machine door (30) also includes a pivoting handle (32) with a downward curving arcuate section (34) to allow the operator to easily reach the handle (32) when the door (30) is fully opened.

L'invention porte sur un lave-vaisselle (10) dont la chambre de lavage (14) conçue plus haute présente une capacité accrue sans augmentation de l'emprise au sol et dont les portes sont repliables (22, 30) pour élargir les accès à la chambre (14). L'élargissement des accès et l'augmentation de la capacité permettent au lave-vaisselle (10) d'accepter de la vaisselle dépassant les normes. Les portes repliables (22, 30) permettent d'accéder pleinement aux ouvertures élargies sans devoir augmenter sensiblement la hauteur minimale du plafond au dessus de la machine (10). La porte (30) du lave-vaisselle comporte par ailleurs une poignée pivotante (32) dont une partie (34) s'incurve vers le bas pour permettre à l'utilisateur d'atteindre plus facilement la poignée (32) lorsque la porte (30) est grande ouverte.
