An exercising apparatus (10) is disclosed which can be easily collapsed for shipping. The apparatus includes an upper frame (12) pivotally attached to the forward end (16) of a longitudinally extending lower base frame member (14). The frame member (12) supports a seat (66) that is movable so as to be parallel to the frame member (12). An elongated rod (44) has one end (46) pivoted to a collar (56) and moves along a length thereof. A pin (62) and aperture (58 and 60) arrangement locks the frame members (12 and 14) in the selected position. A pair of movable arms (102 and 102a) connected to a force resistor allows a user to perform exercises. The force resistor includes a plurality of elastic elements (134 or 144). Squats can also be performed.
Cette invention a trait à un exerciseur (10) facilement pliable en cas d'expédition. Cet appareil comporte un cadre supérieur (12) rattaché pivotant à l'extrémité avant (16) d'un élément de cadre d'assise se déployant longitudinalement (14). Sur l'élément supérieur de cadre (12) repose un siège (66), susceptible de se déplacer afin d'être parallèle à cet élément de cadre (12). Une tige allongée (44), dont une extrémité (46) pivote sur un manchon (56), coulisse sur la longueur de celui-ci. Une cheville (62) et un système d'orifices (58 et 60) bloquent les éléments du cadre (12 et 14) dans la position choisie. Deux bras mobiles (102 et 102a), reliés à un mécanisme de résistance à l'effort permettent à l'utilisateur de faire ses exercices. Le mécanisme de résistance à l'effort comporte plusieurs pièces élastiques (134 ou 144). Il est également possible de faire des exercices en étant accroupi.
