A collapsible, portable child's play-pen, which may be foldably collapsed onto two half-members which are pivotably coupled together along a first axis and which together form a base for the play-pen, and which may then be subsequently folded together to form a compact portable unit, without the use of tools or awkward collapsing or erecting procedures. A pair of frame members are pivotably coupled to the half-members proximate opposite but parallel sides of the base, and are adapted to support a flexible sheet around the periphery of the base when the play-pen is in the open position to thereby form a plurality of vertical walls. The frame members in the vertical position are each pivotable about an axis perpendicularly disposed to the first axis to allow each to be pivoted from an initial vertical position whereon each frame member is in a vertical, parallel, but spaced apart position, to a collapsed position on the base the frame members each poses pivotable joint proximate a mid-section thereof, which permit the frame members to each bend about their respective mid-section thereby permitting the half-members to be folded about the first axis into the closed position. In a preferred embodiment, the frame members further possess a pair of releasibly detachable, pivotable linking arms, to which the flexible sheet is affixed, each arm extending perpendicularly between the pair of frame members so as to form parallel but opposite upper side edges of the child's play-pen when the frame members are pivoted so as to extend vertically upward from the base.
