ABSTRACT The invention relates to a collapsible transport and storage crate capable to be stacked upon other crates in either its raised or collapsed position. The sides of the crate are provided with pins sunk into connecting pieces at the bottom of the crate. Upon folding down the sides they are lifted so that the pins are pulled out of the connecting pieces and are folded down hinged inward against the bottom. Guide bosses reach above the geometry of the folded-down crate and fix a crate located thereabove. In its outfolded state, tips are located on the upper edges of the sides to engage with pockets located in the bottom of a crate thereabove and thereby fix the crate in the lateral direction.
