Apparatus for storing items within vehicle compartments that can be manipulated into an operative position and a closed position with a within a vehicle compartment floor (14) and having a surface that is exposed to the vehicle compartment when the apparatus is in an operative (i.e., open) position. A rear panel (30) is pivotally attached to the base (20) and is movable between a closed position overlying (20) the base surface and an open position substantially normal to the base (20) surface. End panels (39A, 39B) are movably attached to respective end portions of the rear panel (30). The end panels (39a, 39d) are movable between a stored position in face-to-face relation with the rear panel (30) and an operative position disposed substantially normal to the base (20) surface and to the rear panel (30). One or more partition panels (40) that are movably attached to either the rear panel (30) or to the base (20) surface, may be provided.
L'invention concerne un appareil destiné au stockage d'articles à l'intérieur de compartiments de véhicules pouvant être placé en position opérationnelle et en position fermée d'une seule main à l'intérieur du plancher (14) d'un compartiment de véhicule, et présentant une surface exposée au compartiment du véhicule lorsque l'appareil est en position opérationnelle (c'est-à-dire, ouverte). Un panneau arrière (30) est fixé pivotant à la base (20) et est mobile entre une position fermée recouvrant la surface de base (20) et une position ouverte sensiblement perpendiculaire à la surface de base (20). Des panneaux terminaux (39A, 39B) sont fixés mobiles aux parties terminales respectives du panneau arrière (30). Les panneaux terminaux (39a, 39d) sont mobiles entre une position stockée en relation face-à-face avec le panneau arrière (39) et une position opérationnelle disposée sensiblement perpendiculairement à la surface de base (20) et au panneau arrière (30). On peut prévoir un ou plusieurs panneaux de cloisonnement (40) lesquels sont fixés mobiles soit au panneau arrière (30) soit à la surface de base (20).
