A container for collecting and transporting hockey pucks has a generally flat bottom wall with projecting metal pins arranged for resting against the ice with first and second end rigid walls upstanding from the bottom wall with a rigid handle bar extending between the end walls such that the rigid handle can be grasped by the hand of a user to hold the container in a controlled position alongside the body of the user. First and second rigid closed side walls are parallel and at right angles to the end walls. The first side wall has a portion extending the full length between the end walls which is hinged along a bottom edge at a position spaced from the bottom wall to open an access opening on the first side and to form a ramp at the first side having an inner edge at the first side above the bottom wall and extending to an outer edge spaced outwardly of the inner edge and inclined such that the outer edge can be located at the ice surface to allow pucks to slide into the hollow interior.
