COLLECTION AND SEPARATION OF UNCONTROLLED BLOW OUT MATERIAL FROM BORE HOLES IN THE OCEAN FLOOR Abstract of the Disclosure Arrangements for the collection and separation of uncontrolled blow out material from bore holes in the ocean floor. A collecting device is employed for posi- tioning on the surface of the sea above the discharge location in the form of an annular wall surrounding a contaminated zone and preventing the spread of the dicharge. The device includes a bell-shaped shell defining a hollow space adapted to be coupled to a source of reduced pressure for maintaining the space at a reduced pressure.
