The present invention is a specimen collection container assembly comprising an inner tube within an outer tube wherein the external dimensions of the inner tube are less than the external dimensions of the outer tube and the internal volume of the inner tube is less than the internal volume of the outer tube. Theassembly of the present invention provides a means for adapting a full-draw or standard-sized blood collection tube to handle a reduced internal volume for handling by equipment configured to handle standard-sized blood collection tubeshaving standard external dimensions.

Ensemble récipient de prélèvement d'échantillons constitué d'un tube interne à l'intérieur d'un tube externe. Les dimensions extérieures du tube interne sont inférieures à celles du tube externe, et le volume intérieur libre du tube interne est inférieur à celui du tube externe. Cet ensemble permet d'adapter un tube de prélèvement sanguin complet ou standard pour qu'il puisse prélever un volume intérieur libre réduit devant être contenu dans l'équipement configuré, afin de loger des tubes de prélèvement sanguin standard de dimensions extérieures standard.
