ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE This invention relates to an improved sheathed cable-type fish stringer including an elongated, flexible, sheathed cable-type stringer which is devoid of the conventional intermediate snap hook assembly storage loop. The invention further includes a remotely positionable or locateable caddy clip adapted to be attached to one of the fisherman's person, attire, or equipment. When fishing, a plurality of different and distinct fishermen often use only one, single, remotely located, sheathed cable-type fish stringer, and a difficulty often arises at the end of the fishing trip as to who caught which fish. The present invention color codes each fisherman's remote caddy clip with a unique different and distinct color. Each fisherman then has attached to his particular caddy clip, a set of snap hook assemblies wherein each of the slide units of each of the set of snap hook assemblies also includes one different and distinct color which uniquely matches the color of only his remote caddy clip. Thus, when the day's fishing is done, each fisherman can positively identify those fish caught by him simply by matching the color of the slide unit on the snap hook assemblies on the stringer with the unique color of his particular remote caddy clip so that no misunderstandings can occur.
