A positioning device for holding a dental x-ray imaging media during the taking of a dental x-ray includes an aiming ring, a bite block and a positioning arm extending there between. The bite block carries a journal or barrel for receiving a portion of the positioning arm therein such that the portion of the positioning arm thus received can rotate or move therein, such that the position between the bite block and the aiming ring can be selected in one of a plurality of positions corresponding to a position for taking one of a plurality of dental x-ray images. In another embodiment, the bite block carries a window through which a color -coded or other indicia portion of the positioning arm is positioned such that the user can view the indicia to determine the x-ray image for which the device is set.
La présente invention concerne un dispositif de positionnement permettant de maintenir un support d'image radiographique dentaire pendant la prise d'une radiographie dentaire, comprenant un anneau de visée, un bloc de morsure et un bras de positionnement s'étendant entre les deux. Le bloc de morsure porte un tourillon ou un élément tubulaire dans lequel une partie du bras de positionnement peut être reçue de telle sorte que la partie du bras de positionnement ainsi reçue puisse y tourner et y bouger, et de telle sorte que la position entre le bloc de morsure et l'anneau de visée puisse être choisie parmi une pluralité de positions correspondant à une position permettant de prendre une image radiographique dentaire parmi une pluralité. Dans un autre mode de réalisation, le bloc de morsure porte une fenêtre à travers laquelle est positionné un code couleur ou autre repère du bras de positionnement, de telle sorte que l'utilisateur puisse voir le repère afin de déterminer l'image radiographique pour laquelle le dispositif est réglé.
